    325e flexplate timing tab broken

    mine broke, has anyone welded it back on with any success? im going to try this on mine.

    The tab is necessary for the engine to start and to run. Unless it just fell off after you shut off the engine, the cause of the problem is likely to be something other than the tab.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      the tab is why my car wont start. ive seen this on a few other cars, they ran fine until shut off and no start. poking around on the interwebs seems this has happened to others as well. seems very strange. im going to weld my tab back on and see if it can last until i have my 5 speed parts this winter.

          Yeah I had a shop that specializes in e 30s weld a new one on for me and they made a blockoff plate outta steel so it never happened again and so far so good for the last year
