My brakelights are stuck on.

Whenever I turn my car on my brakes are stuck on-without touching the brake pedal.

I'm fairly certain this problem is regarding the brake light switch in some way, but it has a new switch; in fact I just installed it today. So I'm not sure why this is happening or how to fix it.

Then you didin't put the new switch in right.
Did you test it right after you put it in?
It's very easy to bend the metal bracket that holds the switch, making the switch either too close or too far away from the brake pedal.

Well, it's possible I bent it. I had just replaced the bracket and I had to remove the switch from my old one. I saw that my brake lights were initially not working, so I assumed it was the brake light switch so in order to get the old one out I tried to use pliers to pull it out; I stopped shortly after this realizing it was possible to bend the bracket in doing so.
