odd door lock problem, locks arm is rubbing... something.

We are finally putting a set of locks in my sisters car (88 325 4 door)

While the locks were half the problem since they wouldnt turn half the time, there is another problem.

On the drivers door, you turn the key clockwise one tick and one more tick to lock all the doors. Upon the second tick the arm from the lock rubs the black plastic box (what I assume is something electrical to do with the central locking).

Its quite annoying and shouldnt be, but for the life of me I cant figure out why its happening. To adjust it out of the way seems impossible as its attached to the latch so a move in that piece would move the door...

If ANYONE has had this problem before please enlighten me to your solution. Im down to shaving the plastic back so it doesnt rub.

1st tick on driver door is supposed to lock all the doors.

2nd tick provides "double lock" that is designed to prevent the doors from being unlocked even if you break the window and pull up on the door pins.

Other than that, I found it difficult determining what you are saying/asking. Why do you think the pawl on the lock shouldn't be contacting the "black plastic box". Where is the black plastic box located? I do not recall any black plastic boxes near the lock mechanism in the door.
