I recently snapped my key in my ignition but it still works i jst us the other half lololo. but im sure some of you guys have done ignition swaps. i was wondering to see hw much of a pain are they? do i need any special tool. or shud i not even touch it and have a "pro" do it? thanks guys

you could always use a spare for the doors and the broken one for driving :DComment

Yes but then if you leave your car unlocked(or have messed up central locking that will unlock the whole car by being gently bumped) any body could take your car with a flathead

you don't need to get a new ignition. just get a new key from dealership.
now go to hardware store.
buy coping saw blades.
grind down one end to a sharp point like a wedge that's 1" long (like a knife)
do it to 2 of them.
now insert them into ignition on each side of key, twist each into the key for some grip by the saw blades.
then pull
really easy just need to make the tools"I wanna see da boat movie"

no you still cant start it with a flathead cz the steering wheel loocks. you wud need the other half of the key and itd unlock it. i tried with a flathead and it wudnt work. i jst use the other half. that wud suck if u cn start it with a flathead. id be sleeping in my car hahaha!Comment
