    FK Automotive suspension?

I've been looking around for suspension, and I've found that FK Automotive suspension is pretty popular in Europe. I was wondering if anyone has any experiance or knows anything about this company. I am interested in the non coilovers, so any info on stiffness, ride, and comparison would be appreciated.

I have it but I havent installed it yet. I got the 60mm drop cup kit. From what I have heard from people with it is, its stiffer than h&r cup kit by far. I got it for around 700can dollars and the h&r kit was close to 900 after shipping. I have heard nothing but good things but can't speak from experience until my friend with all the tools get back from germany.

Hmmm, that sounds good. I want something I can autocross with as well, so I want something fairly stiff. What's the drop with the kit?

where's the cheapest place to get the FK suspension? If the price is right I might want to check it out.

IE stage3 springs... somewhere around a 650/450 spring rate.

they're basically copies of the HR race springs, but made by Eibach for IE...

I have them on my car and I love them... matched to bil sports.

            It is available in 40mm, 60f 40r or 75f 50r.

              Thank you captain random :P
I don't think IE stg 3 are equivalent to a 450/650 (rear is higher due to t-arm design) that's a pretty high rate, especially for bilsteins

                oops, I meant 350/650...

the IE3's aren't EXACT copies of the HR race springs, so 350/650 sounds about right... te extra stiffness in front works for the M20 engine'd E30's better than the lighter S14.

come to think of it, I don't remember the fronts being progressively wound... maybe that's why potholes hut like @#$%#$ when I accidentally go over them too fast...

here's an article that lists the spring rates

they work fine w/ my bilstein sports. no complaints on the track from me.

This thread about the fk kit prompted me to look into it. I found what I believe to be the best price in the US for the fk kit. I could only find it 3 places, from AMI motorsports, FK North America and one other. The list price is 595. As reflected in the following email exchange, you can get it for 535 shipped.

                  "Hey Jeff,

I can do a similar deal in terms of discount...probably about $535 shipped
to you in the continental U.S. But yes, and I have pretty much all the BMW
kits available. Give us a call when you are ready.

                  Thanks!

Do you have the FK hi tech kit (shocks/springs) for bmw e30's? If so, is it
similarly priced as the vw kit ($420)? Thanks in advance.

                  Jeff"

As you can see, it looks like 535 shipped. I found in it in the UK for about 400 USD, but don't know if they would ship or how much shipping would be. Could be something to look into at this site: http://www.philsargent.co.uk/Perform...ges/fkakx.html

Ove over on BEN has fk springs and recommends them. He feels they are comparable with H&R. He said the shocks aren't quite there yet.

FK have a very good reputation in EU. Their coilover adjustable perches don't rust as fast as others. If you buy the lower line expect to get less. If you are spending the money on coil-overs why don't you do it right the first time and get the full adjustablity?

They aren't the coil overs. I'm looking at their cup kit equivalent.
