    Hood won't close

I can't seem to get my hood to close. It was giving me grief a while ago and I just played with the cable a bit and after about 5 mins I managed to get it closed, but I've been fucking around with this one far too long. The little latch in the front won't stay down. If I press on it with a screwdriver it feels like it bottoms out but then just pops back up when I take the screwdriver off it. Anyone have a diagram or something on how to get at that little fucker?

Sounds like the hood cable is sticking and is constantly "opening" the hood. Or the mechanism needs to be lube. Or both.

Pull your front grills and you can get to the catch. I'd pull it and the cable out and clean and lube them.

Also make sure the handle in the car is returning all the back.

Yeah, this is a problem in my car. Make sure the hood latch in the car is pushed all the way back, then it should catch.

Yeah I have fucked around with the latch in the car, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I lubed it the other day as well. Maybe something is broken in the latch itself. I'll yank the grills and see what I find. Anyone have a parts diagram?
