    Cheap way to do GC?

So Ground Control list a compleate kit for $1449 in parts.

Can you do just the springs and pearches first with a low lbs/in spring with stock dampers, and then step up to a higher spring rate and Konis at a later time?

(I did search the forum...think a lot of the info was lost on e30sport.net)

Basically when I get my e30 I want to get rid of any 4x4 stance but don't have $1500 to spend all at once...

EDIT: Cause eventually I want ground control - and whould not rather waist my money on something else.

Until you get aftermarket springs, your stock shocks will do an awful job after you install the GC's and blow out soon after. You probably wouldn't even be able to tell the difference between a stock shock on GC springs and blown ones (granted you get reasonable spring rates).

You can get just the perches for $400 and then spend another $480-500 on Koni SA's.

        quick answer.....I don't think so.

your ride would not be good with stock dampers and lower springs

and not only that, but you would have to pay labor twice, if you don't do it yourself.....

If you don't have the $$$ to do GC right now, go for a more inexpensive temporary setup. Like M3 springs and some bilsteins or whatever. Go for a cheap, conservative setup and then you can sell it down the road when you have the cash for GC.

Or even pick up the suspension of someone who upgraded themselves. Something like this: http://www.r3vlimited.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2724 FS: H&R Race Springs with Bilstein Sport Shocks "VI - but people have already called dibs.....so wait around for the next time a deal similar to this comes up.
