Need help on selector rods...

NEED AND ANSWER ASAP!!!

My selector rod from my 91' e30 318is has cracked and there is a 90' e30 M3 selector rod available. Is there anyway to be able to use it or are the mounting points different. I pulled up the part#s and the m3 one is: 25111220322 and the 318is one is:25111221627. THEY ARE DIFFERENT #s BUT THEY ARE BOTH STRAIGHT SELECTOR RODS.

length would be the difference i think. M3 gearbox is generally much shorter in length compared to the 260 that is probably in your iS.
