lock cylinder connecting to ignition switch

    Hello everyone

long time reader 1st time poster.

just picked up an e30 and few things. ignition switch got replaced because i couldnt start the car without it.

and found the culprit for why the old ignition switch didnt turn anymore.

this thing, which i do not know the name of other than lock cylinder has been worn down... looks like by a hammer...

anyway to remove this so i can get a new one installed?
