Windshield Wiper Relay/Fuse/Motor/???

My windshield wipers stopped working awhile back, and I noticed that my fuse#5 (30a) was blown. So i replaced that again, and tried the wiper. Pop. Blown again. Tried it 2 more times, just because. And now i have four blown 30a fuses.

What would be causing this? Is the wiper motor bad? Or is it an electrical problem, possibly the k10-wiper control unit. I'm leaning towards the motor, after reading on google for half an hour...it may be related to that.

I checked the bentley (section 26, 8.1), and i have continuity between wiper relay terminal 31/ground, but no power from terminal 15.

I'm about to make a 30a jumper wire to try the motor directly, so idk yet.

What could it be?

Split your search area in half by disconnecting the motor and seeing if the fuse still blows. If it doesn't the motor is shorted.

isn't the wiper motor under the "vent" or screen thing on the drivers side? goddammit and i have giant shrek hands. wiper motor is the worst.

if fuse does not blow, replace wiper motor
if fuse blows, ??? the k10 relay?

i'm gonna try it tonight when i get home.
