do you have single or duel fuel pumps?

so i was thinking... it seems that its unclear which models have single or twin fuel pumps.

my '88 FL m40 318i has 55L tank and duel pumps... low pressure lift and high pressure external pump.

our '89 FL 320i m20b20 has 55L tank and duel pumps again.

my friends '90 mtech 2 FL 325i m20b25 has larger tank (but not long range). and is single pump. high pressure in tank.

post what your car is. the fuel tank size, year, fl or non fl, and engine ect. ect.
and lets see if we can get a pattern of which models carry which fuel system.

I think this is dependent on the market the cars were built for. For the US market early 318 and 325 cars up through 8/87 have a 55L tank with two pumps. From 9/87 on the 325's have a 63L tank with a single in-tank high pressure pump. Late production 318is cars (11/89 and later) have the 55L tank and the in-tank high pressure pump.

You can dig through realoem.com to find what was used in other markets.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

i think that is pretty good info.

so it seems it all depends on which tank you have then in regards to which fuel pumps you have.
