can a dual pump car have the later style pump swapped in place of the transfer pump? Seems like it should?

It doesnt give you redundancy, the intank pump is a lift pump, its not designed to run the system, only provide fuel to prevent things like vapourlock. If the mainpump fails and the intank pump is still fine, you are still going to have problems.Just a little project im working on
