    "Softer" GC rates in here?

Is anyone running a GC setup with softer rates? Everyone is talking about how stiff their springs are, but after rolling around in an OBX-fitted car last night I don't think I can handle much. I'll be calling GC this week to discuss it, but does anyone have a reasonably comfortable ride with GC's and Koni SA's?

I have a comfortable ride with my GC's and Koni's. I have fairly aggressive spring rates (450f and 600r).

The guys at Ground Control are great and if you just tell them what you want (i.e. comfortable ride/ no auto-x) they will give you what you need.

They recommended 350f/475r to me when I ordered my springs from GC. It is on the softer side as you said, but it turned out to be a substantial improvement over my 'is' springs with enough stiffness to ratchet up the fun-factor without sending me to the dentist. Like was stated in a previous post, they are pretty good at setting you up with a spring rate that will work best for you.

But everyone says that OBX coilovers are way too soft...

I got 350/450 (I think). I can easily handle this, and plan to go stiffer one day. Different shock settings are night and day though, I just put them to full soft for daily cruising :P

Yeah I know, hence my concern. OBX numbers are like 275/350. I think it is more of a function of the shocks though, and that car has Tokico's that are likely sitting on their bumpstops since the car is slammed.

I will be using my Konis on full soft, at least at first.

Someone told me your supposed to run them full soft for the first month anyway, to break them in or something.

My new suspension feels much more solid and quite over expansion joints.

bilstein sports, say goodbye to some part of the car if you hit a speed bump or any bump with both wheels at once. I have big sway bars so if I hit a pothole, it's fine, although it throws you around way too much for how soft the springs are. I wouldn't recommend bilstein sports, I also would advise to go with a higher rate..

                          I like what I hear.

Check out the tables on their site, it's pretty infinite.

The thing was so damn bouncy, and it was the first car with coilovers I've driven in. Scared the crap outta me.

With properly matched springs and shocks your car will not be "bouncy."

Like Bryson, Ground-Control suggested 350/450 for me also. Maybe this is nice for those perfect California roads, but Illinois potholes tore up my rear springs in about a year. I hear their new barrell springs help with binding issues, but they are not as much of a true race spring.
