So I was replacing my sunroof yesterday, and I got the new one on the car and went to tighten down the bolts http://www.penskeparts.com/Diagrams/...ng?v=195514973 (21 onto 19) and the head sheared off of the passenger side front bolt. 19 is a plastic bracket (technically a "gate"), and is still for sale by BMW (none of my local yards have a coupe in stock! :hitler:). I have already ordered new bolts, but my question is how do I go about removing the old bolt? Is drilling it out a safe option with the plastic bracket, or should I bit the bullet and get a new bracket?
Also: when the new roof went in, the metal mount points did not quite lineup with the holes on 19. Is there a way to realign it so it will fit?
Finally, if the plastic bracket (19) does need to be replaced, does anyone have a cheep one?
