    No start issue

So, just got my e30 towed home from work with a weird problem. It doesnt crank over at all and the battery is fully charged. when i turn the key on, the only lights on the dash that turn on are the ABS light and the battery light. Not exactly sure where to start with troubleshooting this.

    tl:dr
    no crank, no start
only lights that turn on with key are ABS and battery.

any advice would be really helpful, thanks in advance.

Verify that the batter is fully charged by check the voltage across the battery terminals. You should see 12.6-12.7v.

Using a meter or test light check to see if power is applied to the starter solenoid terminal when the key is turned to START. If no power there trace back towards the ignition switch to find the cause. If power is being applied to the solenoid check to see if power is present at the starter main lug and check the engine to chassis ground. If all of that checks out, the starter is bad.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
