    Starting Issue

I have a 1987 325e. I was driving the car everyday about 10 miles a day for about a week straight. I started the car up yesterday evening and it started like normal and then died a few seconds later. Now it will not crank. It will just turn over. I have power so I know the battery or alternator isn't the problem. Starter sounds strong as well. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Does the engine have spark? That should be the first check. Since it started and died, if no spark look into the valve cover to see if the cam turns when cranking a the TB could have just failed.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Ok thanks. I'll have to do that. I just got the car running and now this. D'oh. I replaced my TPS the other day. Maybe I should have replaced the TB too haha.

I know you said it could be the TB but could it more likely be the crank position sensor you think?

I did take the TB off not too long ago to mess with the TPS maybe the TB could have gotten damaged then and failed?

By TB do you mean Throttle Body? I meant Timing Belt. The throttle body would have nothing to do with spark.

Yeah. I found that kind of weird lol. I'll check out the timing belt.
