    ZF remanufactured steering pump

I just replace my OE pump with this unit but noticed that once installed the PS belt doesn't sit straight on the pulley. I'm positive I installed it correctly. The remanufactured unit was smaller and did not require the same brackets as the OE one. Will this cause problems later on?

I don't know why the remanufactured unit couldn't be made to the same specs as the oe one.
