Fault code #1261 Fuel Pump Relay Control...

So I've brought up the issue not too long about how when I start my car it dies and it takes maybe 2-3 times before it starts up again. Lately it's been acting up more and sometimes my car feels like it wants to bog or die while I'm driving ie. I was on the freeway going home the other night and the check engine light flickers on and off immediately and during this time my car feels like it's going to just die or fuel has been shut off.

I've used pelican parts's tech article to pull a code out and it puts out 1261 which is a Fuel Pump Relay Control. Is it only that I'll be needing to replace or possibly need to check into my injectors also? Has anyone else ran into this problem before?

Pelican Parts has more than 10000 pages of Technical Content and information created just for you and your Porsche!

By the same problem do you mean that you have the 1261 fault code? Or just the loss of power?

With what you've replaced a 1261 fault will be caused by a bad relay socket, wiring between the socket and the DME, or the DME itself. If you don't have the fault code the cause could be a problem with power to the relay, from the relay to the pump, or a build up of sediment in the fuel tank. A good description of what you are experiencing would help with diagnosis.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
