fpr replacement on my 318i

    fpr replacement on my 318i

    I just replaced the fpr on my m10 and am having problems, it seems that the fuel isnt going down the hose that is suposed to send the extra gas down to the gastank. I read the directions on the bentley and did it correctly i believe.
    Fuel is now spitting out of the other end of the fuelrail where the hose connects to the fuelrail.

    What is the correct way to changing these??
    could the fpr that i have now be bad?(ps, it is used, but was pulled from a running car.)

    Did you cross the fuel lines? There's no special way to install them; remove and replace.

      theres no way i could have cross any lines.....

      im just gonna take this one out and put back the one that was in there. If the car goes back to its usual shittyness that i was originally trying to fix, ill go and buy a brandnew fpr

        does anyone know if the oring is suposed to be in the fuelrail or on the fpr while you put it in? Is it suposed to pop in or squeezed in.

        When i took it out at first, it had to be yanked out of hte fuel rail and it was really in there, now when i put it back in, i couldnt get it like htat, i just pushed it in the best i could but i wouldnt pop into place.

          O-ring goes on the FPR and get's pushed into the fuel rail, sounds like to me, you have the lines crossed if your getting fuel out the oposite end.

            the oring is probably ripped, did you use a new one with lube?

              I only touched the fuelreturn line and the vacumm line that is attached to the fpr, i didnt touch the other line at all.

              the oring is not ripped, it seems fine, i called the dealer for a newone today and they told me that i had to buy a bag of 10 of them and it would cost 30$$$ hahaha, screw that. the old one seems fine.

              Im gonna give it another try tommorow when i have light, and ill try to put the o-ring in using some kind of lube
