early model tow hooks

i have an 85, i cut the front tow hooks off to install a late model valance and bumper. Today i found some euro bumpers and im wondering if the tow hooks can be welded back on?

possible? or should i just not worry about them?

They could be, but a short axle strap around a bumper shock works as well as the towing loops.

I'm goin to put the euro bumpers on since I was able to get some local, the late model tow hook does not work with euro bumpers

Does anybody know what th tow point on a euro 88 car is? Because I know my 88 car confused me at first as to where the fux the tow point on the front was since it wasn't on the valance like early models but also not on the bumper shock like a plastic bumper car, instead the tow hook attaches in the center of the bumper behind the front plate. Maybe a 88 euro car has something similar u could look at?

Euro 88's have plastic bumpers so the tow hook goes in the the bumper shock like other late models.

That would be fine, but euro bumpers don't have shocks.
