i do now. but i didnt for a while. you can do just about anything on these cars with 17, 13, 10

Thanks to all for the advice & direction. How the heck you guys get that cluster in and out easily is BEYOND me. Everything was loose and no matter how I rotated tweaked etc it was a bitch to get out and then back in - but I did it.

When I went to tighten the nut by the temp gauge it simply wasn't there! Off to the hardware store to get a washer, lock washer & nut. Tightened that up and reinstalled the whole thing. Nice steady normal reading temp gauge was the end result!

I always remove the steering wheel when removing the cluster, it's an extra two minutes for a non-airbag wheel and an extra five minutes for the airbag wheels.
