    89 325ix Wont Start

Hey guys, Im in a shitty situation.

My car died a few days ago and I was wondering if anyone can help out. The engine cranks so I'm assuming its not the battery. We tried starting by spraying starter fluid into the throttle body and it started for a bit which means its fuel related, correct? Well I went ahead (maybe too far ahead) and changed the fuel pump. Still no bueno. When I turn the key to see if the fuel pump "buzzes", there is no sound at all. Does this mean its not getting any power and is most likely a fuel pump relay/fuse? I'm also going to change the fuel filter just because I dont know when it was changed last.

Please, anything, especially pictures would help! I'm also having trouble figuring out which relay/fuse is the fuel pump one. I cant seem to get any clear answers. Thanks!

The pump only runs when the DME sees timing data from a rotating engine. If in the factor configuration the fuel pump relay will be the on in the middle, the main relay closest to bumper and O2 sensor heater relay in the third position.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

My 86 ES is doing the exact same thing. I checked the power at the relay, seemed good and I have power at the external pump. Pulled the external pump and put power to it and it did not run so I bought a new one checked it before installing and it runs, I can hear it running when i crank the motor but the car will just start and run for a minute, Idle only cuts out if you give it throttle, then dies and will not start for a hour or so. Next I pulled the in tank transfer pump and put power to it and got nothing so I bought a new one and installed it and still the car won't run!

Any ideas? Do i need to prime the system after swapping pumps?
