    Thanks for the reply jlevie. I was trying to get the car to start but noticed the cranking power of the starter was really weak so my gut feeling was a grounding problem. I changed the grounding wire and the car started right up. I'll pay close attention for the next few weeks to see if anything weird happens but for now I'm just glad I have a car to drive to work.
