Going on a Long trip what maintenance i should I do.

OK guys I am going to be making a 2400 mile trip with my kids. In my 1990 BMW 325I 5 speed with about 215k on it. I just refreshed the suspension and did an oil change. The previous owner did a timing belt at 200k. I am going to be putting new tires and a new alignment once I get taxes. What other maintenance should I do also? Many thanks....

Since you'll be driving a lot of miles (with many stops-and-goes), I would check the fan clutch and coolant (fresh?). Have a great trip!

Cooling system hoses in good shape?
      Heater work?
      Spark plugs, wires and cap?
      Wipers and lights?
      Air in the spare?

Take it for an hour run on the highway before you pack and see what breaks.

Heck, just pack money, a cell phone and a flexible schedule.

The car should be 15K into it's third cooling system. Is it?
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
