    Fuel Filler Problem

    Greetings,

I'm having problems with filling my 91 325ix up at the gas station. After just a few tenths the fuel pump will cut off. It continues to do this until I quit trying to fill it up.

The mechanic tells me it is a ventilation tube/pipe that has rusted closed. The problem is, both he and I can not identify the correct name for this part to order a new one.

Can anyone identify this part and part number? Any idea of the cost

    Thanks

There are several parts to the vent system. The two main components are charcoal canister in the engine bay and the surge tank in the right rear fender well along with the various hoses. All of that needs to be checked. As well as the soft line that connects the filler neck to the tank.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
