wtf hood release cable too loose to pop hood

So I go and try to open the hood today...pull the latch all the way and nothing. noticed that my latch handle is cracked too. Does anyone know the part number for the hood release cable and latch? FTL

my hood release cable is the same way, it worked fine for me then i dropped it off for emissions testing and get a call an hour later from the shop asking how to open the hood. my first response was to tell them to use the release handle located in the same spot it is in almost every vheicle ever, but when they said they tried that i just said ill be right there. flat head screw driver through the grill and boom hood open.

i was going to fix my hood release but then i decided i like my hood not opening for anybody that has never worked on e30s before so i just keep a flathead in my driver door pocket at all times :)

Seems like they fail pretty often. Mine has been broken since I've had the car; I just use a screwdriver.
