well ive been looking into getting a chip for my car and im seeing a difference in the dme from 525 to 173..so my ? is how do i tell which one my 89 325is has? im probly gonna get a tms chip, that being said will i have to change anything else?

Pull the ECU out and the last 3 #'s on the ECU are what you need.

The DME is above the glove compartmentThe car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
