Multiple fuel pressure regulators

I just got my car back from the mechanic and he said that I need to get a new fuel pressure regulator. So I ordered one and dropped them off to him for install. Just heard form him that I got the wrong one. I purchased the one that goes under the hood. He says that I need a fuel pressure regualtor that goes just in front of the back drivers side tire. I looked online and couldnt find anything. Does anyone here have any ideas?

What year and model?
There is a pulse suppressor in front of the left rear tire just ahead of the fuel pump that looks like a pressure regulator. Many owners just delete it if it is clogged or rusted out.

Yep its a fuel damper not a fpr. Think it was only on the early model cars with the dual pump setup.

Deleted mine with no issues.

Rural MN, Few choices, and my garage is not heated. Its -18 today so I haven't been feeling the whole working on my own car thing.
