I just dont have the cash to burn on expensive tools. What money i do have that isnt needed for school, is needed for my car.
I have pretty well everything i need, creeper, jack, jack stands, huge tool box that is full. I just dont have any real heavy duty tools. I have a breaker bar but it just going to keep breaking torx bits.

its an option, but will cost money as i will have to put it on a lift and get someone to do it. Its pretty much the last option i have tho. Just no way to get heat on it.
Im just gunna have to try and straighten it out on the car and see how close i can get the lip to fit. shitty but all i can do. Im not paying a shop for an hours labour to drill it out. Be like 50 bucks for something stupid.

Please Help!!!
I'm having the same problem. Can only get 1 bolt out of my rear bumper, need to get 1 more out of rear and 2 out of front. I'm painting my car right now and am ready to spray the base and the clear just have to get these bolts out. I've tried everything, been soaking them for weeks in every solution known to man. The guy at the body shop has demolished my t-55 torx with his impact driver. I am ready to sawzall these things off. I,ve tried the 3 bolts that connect to the shock...nothing. How do I drill these bolts out? What size bit/procedure? Can I unbolt the shocks from the frame and get the bumper off that way? Looking at posts and thru the manuals. Something tells me The Ritalin Kid could figure this one out.
Thanks

Yep, I've tried a 1/2 inch impact gun about 5 times. The guy at the bodyshop did it for me and it doesnt move at all. the guy even went across the street to borrow his buddy's gun that might be stronger. I just bought a new t-55 and a 3/8 breaker bar. I doubt this will work. Waht other way can I fet this bumper off? the bolts between the bumper and the shocks wont budge. Can I pull the shocks off the frame somehow without pulling the bumper off the shocks first? waiting to get car painted, gotta get these off.

YAY! Now I am having the same problem. I assume it is from having a North Eastern car that has seen salt in it's life. The rear is famous for the lovely salty mist from the rear tires.
Any who - I have tried an impact gun, and breaker bar. I am not spraying them and letting them sit - what a PITA.'89 "is" = M technic II build mode.

Penetrating oil is your friend.
Also, try putting an extension on the socket and giving the bolt some good, sharp whacks with a hammer. Then, with the 1/2" gun, run it in forward for a few seconds, then backwards. If that doesn't work, your 1/2" gun is weak, find someone with a better one or a 3/4" gun and an adapter.'91 318is

Due to my massive muscle and wicked awesome pry bar - well, mostly due to the rust they, are both stripped. :letitout:
I am going to try to get to the bumper bolts - if not it is sawzall time.Last edited by VAPORBLADE; 02-11-2007, 04:16 PM.'89 "is" = M technic II build mode.

I have a 1/2" breaker + 5' of aluminum fence post for such bolts.
Oh yeah, I also have a 275lb friend if I can't finish her off.
Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.
