Im looking at a used LSD at the moment and its got "S" stamped on the casing and tag to indicate LSD and its also got "P" stamped on it too. Can anyone shed some light on what the "P" might be for??

S is for limited slip, P is for "Posi"- american for Limited slip... :)
Seriously, the P doesn't mean anything- I'll bet it's after the S and the numbers for the ratio (??).... The important parts are the "S" or no "S", and then the 3 numbers indicating ratio. The letters and/or numbers that follow are some sort of production codes.
