Power Steering Hose Routing - Need Help

Let me start off by saying this... It's my own stupid fault.

I have a '90 325 and need to how where to route the power steering hose that runs from the reservoir to the rack. I took the old one off a week ago, but I did not pay attention to how it was routed. :tsk:

So now, after rebuilding the pump, getting all new lines and reservoir, I can't get the darn thing back on the road because of this one hose. I have tried searching for images, write-ups, etc. I have tried putting the hose back on from about every angle, but I'm not doing something right.

Feel free to let me have it, it's my own stupid fault. But after that, could someone please let me know how to route this one simple hose, or send a pic, or both. Keep in mind I have a '90, I think at some point they changed this hose design.

Very odd. All the pics I've found, including this one show a different hose that runs from the reservoir to the rack. I was able to figure out how to get mine to fit, bend the metal tubing on the end a bit. So I did get the car back on the road finally.

My car has a hose with a metal end about 8" in total length with two bends in it. So it runs up behind the motor mount then bends and comes over the top of the mount, then up to the reservoir.

My production date is 3/90, that's the only thing I can think of that makes a difference. However the location of all the parts are the same...

Also, all of my hoses are molded and permanently attached to the fittings, no clamps. Perhaps this is why they were leaking so bad, no way to tighten them.

      Appreciate the reply!
