    Radiator interchangeability...

    Hey,

Looking for a radiator to put into my recently purchased 90 325is. From what i'm reading the E36 radiator uses the same mounting points and hoses as my 90?

Just wondering becuase it seems that the E36 rads are cheaper.

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

well if you read correctly, and the rads that the same dimensions then go for it.

E36 6cyl radiators will fit, but they dont last as long.

You'll get what you pay for.

Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'

Interesting. Are the endtanks different? They are both made of plastic, correct?

So all the same hoses from an E30 radiator will work? Reason is i have an E36 radiator at my disposal. Rather use that than spend money right now.

          Will an '87 5spd radiator work on a '90?

'87 should be the old style radiator. They switched in '88 or '89, along with a relocated coolant reservoir. If the '87 and the E36 radiator are your two choices, I'd go with the E36.
