86 325es crank sensor wiring colors. Anyone with eta come in

Hey guys I need some help for a buddy. He picked up an 86 325es. Anyways the crank sensor wires that are on the trans are messed up. Anyways the previous owner had cut the connector of one of the crank sensor wires and straight wired it. Worked great till the wire broke off at the sensor. So we got a new pigtail of a later 87 325is car. It is the same connector but the wire colors are different. So what i need to know is what color wires from the side of the connector that is on the engine harness.

Here is a picture of the connector that we are using. So I need to know those 3 wire colors. Since there are two sensors in an eta can I get both sets. Thanks in advance

I can check my car out but it wouldn't be for a few days or next week before I have time.

      Alright sounds good.

Also looks like we just need the colors for the bottom sensor. Top one is ok.

You need the one in the pic or no? Just post a pic of what you need, if it's easy enough to get to I can just check it right now.

Here is what we are looking at.

The bottom sensor has seen much better days. The pigtail I posted is missing on his car. The had just straight wired it. I sent him a replacement out of a junk yard. However we dont know what order the three wires go to that pigtail. So what we are looking for is the 3 colors of the wires and where the go to the pigtail. We have a new sensor in and ready to go. Just need to wire it back up.

Well buddy and I think we have it figured out. Seems the eta only has two wires. One yellow and one black. Yellow will be going to spot #1 and black to spot #2. Will let you know if it works.

              eta owner here.

I'm looking at the Electrical troubleshooting book and at my spare sensors. There are actually three wires called out:

              wire 1) yellow
              wire 2) black
wire 3) ground for the cable shield

PM me with your email address and I'll send you the relevant pages that I'm looking at.
