I just found an 87 325i on craiglist that I am planning on looking at today. I contacted the seller and he said that his daughters boyfriend crossed the battery wires and shorted out the car. Apparently he was able to drive the car home about 20 miles. He then changed out the ecu's as he thought that they were fried. Apparently the car is still not getting fuel. He said that it will start if you spray fluid into the intake then die. Can someone help me out with what I should look for? What else could be damaged from this type of short. I am pretty new to electrical stuff, but for the right price I would love to pick it up as its a MD car and is supposedly rust free.
Thanks in advance.
