Sorry mods I have to get my car back together before 7 am. I have the guage cluster out and in process of installing rings a bulb burned out! Are the cluster blubs same as side marker? They fit. But new one is brighter than old one (dont know if this has too high of wattage or just cause its new?

If you're talking about the little bulbs that pop in, just borrow them from your ash trays. the gauge cluster bulbs are totally different from the side marker bulbs. The gauge ones have a lil black housing around them, whereas the sidemarker bulbs have a smashed-flat base. they are also 1.2 watts versus 5 watts, IIRC.

3-watt bulbs for the instrument cluster main lights...
haven't melted yet? its cold out...
over time.. it doesn't just melt the orange caps over the bulbs, it melts the plastic surround around the gauges.
