how do you get the electric motor back in place on a power top cabrio?

so, i was in the trunk installing amplifiers for my sound system on the mtech 2. while i was in there, i wire tied all the power top wires and reattached that little servo box for the top. i thought it would be a good idea to relube the gears, so i disconnected the top motor from the gear box and for the life of me i can't get the little bastard back in the hole. it seems like the gear teeth need to line up. i messed with it for an hour or so, but for the life of me, i can't get it back together. does anyone have the secret to getting it back in place?

You need to start lifting the back of the top slowly, as you push the motor back in to engage.

Be prepared to have to resync your top now.
