    Heater problems

    Ok so my blower only works on # 4 the highist settings, how come, it is a 1985 325e with 200k , anyone have similer problmes and how did you fix it?

    same here bro, the other #'s worked the other day, then went out again. now only #4 works. I think its the contacts. once in a while I do here a clunk when i turn on #4 comming from the vent above the steering wheel.

      #1.2.3.4 will work wtih a variable resistance and #4 not (straight current from batt.)mayby is the resistance the problem :?:

        There is a resistor pack behind the heater panel. It needs to be replaced. This is a very common kproblem with our cars. It is a fairly cheap part. IT's just a pain in the Ass to get to. The Bentley manaul shows ewxactly how to replace this part.
