pag oil or ester oil. Really it won't make a difference. Just try to flush the old oil out of the system with a/c solvent and compressed air. I've used pag oil or ester oil many times with no ill effects. Both oils plus the solvent are available at napa no problemsigpicComment

Solvent in the compressor is a bad idea. To change the oil, remove the compressor and drain the oil. Refill and turn the compressor by hand a few times, then drain and refill again. Flushing the lines, evaporator and condenser would be a good idea. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I didn't mean in the compressor but rather to flush the lines, condenser and evaporator.
it will require taking the lines loose at either end and flushing the components individually.sigpicComment
