    Mystery Electrical Connector

Found this thing chilling in the engine bay yesterday, buried in a bundle of wires. Anyone know what it goes to? I've had nearly 300 people look at it over at e30tech and no one seems to know.

    Your car a 5 speed?

Pretty sure that connector is only used for cruise control on automatics.

      What year car?
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

It's an '87 that I think had a 5-speed swap done before I got the car. Think that might explain why my cruise cruise doesn't work? Also how in the world did you know it was C143?

C143 doesn't sound right to me. As I recall it is in the cabin taped back on the cruise control harness. And it is a single wire, not a pair.

You're right. It can't be C143 b/c the manual says C143 is BU/BR (blue and brown) and both the wires were purple iirc

I dunno if it helps, but my car is an '87 manual and I have that same plug in the same spot.

I checked the manual for everything w/ 2 pins. The closest thing I found was C150 and that isn't it.

So it's not left over from the 5-speed swap.
