Short on ignition coil equals no spark

The coil bracket snapped off my inner fender . The positive wire on the coil landed on the exhaust, shorted and shut down the car.

    I've checked :
    All grounds
The inline fuse to the dme
    Crank position sensor
    Main relay

All check out good but still I have no power to the coil?
I'm thinking I need a new DME. Is there anything simple that I am over looking ?

Have you checked all your fuses? Its possible you did fire the DME but check the fuses first.

Power for the coil comes from the ignition switch via C101. The DME grounds the coil for each spark. If you have no power to the coil use a test light to work back towards the ignition switch to find where the fault is.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thankyou for the the info that it goes to the c101. Will save me some time toning it back.

I haven't really got to check anymore since last night It's going to have to wait a bit.

Traced it back to the obc relay. I bypassed that and got spark. Now it seems to not have a injector pulse. Because it didn't fire with the fuel pump jumped

I haven't checked for it yet but I will tomorrow. It should also get its signal from the dme byground ? I'll have to wait till tomorrow for that.

Does the OBC relay control fuel also. ? I haven't traced the fuel back yet?

Edit: Read the etm it does control fuel. I probably have no power to my injectors also. should be easily be solved with a simple jumper. Seems the short took out the relay.

Every thing at the switch is working fine. There are no breaks in wire had to be the OBC relay

Well, the short could have damaged the engine harness or the body harness...

Traced all of that measured the resistance on all of the wire too should be all ok. I'm kinda sure that it has to be the OBC relay. But it is possible it shorted the injector harness.
