Ey guys so i just finished doing an overhaul on my m20... replaced wires, plugs, car, rotor, starter, seals, coolant hoses, engine seals, tb kit, HG, Fuel filter etc... Well anyways the engine keeps bogging down every once in a while. What can it be? The previous owner i bought it from had the car for almost 19 yrs, service records etc.. But he also took it in to the mechanic a little while ago with the engine bogging down and they said everything was fine, but something is a little off. I am spitting 1222 code, which im 99 sure its a vaccum leak in the elbow ill be getting a new one soon. Ive checked a whole bunch of stuff for that 1222 code hence i come to conclusion vaccum leak.. idle is a little very little bit rough an idles at 900 not 600-700.
Any input from you guys would be awesome.
Also i have heard people start their m20s right away once they turn to start it, mine takes a couple seconds sometimes. Hasnt once started right away. i dont know if thats any help?
