What is the screw for? (near the wheel)

I was working on my car today and i noticed this screw was very loose on the driver side. I tried to tighten it up but it would not fully tighten. It feels like the screw may be stripped? I am not sure. I checked the passenger side, it looks to be fully tighten. Am i in danger if i continue to drive my car with this problem? See pics, the RED BOX is the screw i m talking about

    thanks

Sway bar end link, you will not have any immediate loss in steering if it were to fail. Go ahead and order a pair of front sway bar end links and they're a pretty simple thing to change out and not very expensive

By replacing this will it improve my driving experience? Does it improve anything? Will turning be tighter or more precise?

Sway bars limit the amount of body roll. The links tie them into the car. If you have good ones, they will be more connected feeling.

Yes. And you won't have to replace them later - they need to be done. They look like shite.

                Please stop saying SCREW!

That's a nut. It's going to spin unless you use an impact or keep the link from spinning.
