Resolved - Blower not blowing, but motor is good.

I pulled out my radio to hook up rca cables...I did not mess with wiring, other than running the amp source wire and a pair of rca's, they go under the back seat (was removed and put back) and into the trunk.

Now....the lighter socket and blower fan do not work at all, they are like dead now. The fan, I think did not work right away, but the lighter did for few days and died.

I pulled out the stereo again to check may be I accidentally unplugged something, but everything seems to be fine, no loose wire or plugs.
it may be unrelated but my left high beam also suddenly stopped working short while back...all fuses look fine and were replaced with new old pieces.

Could I damage something inside the stereo shaft to make fan non-functioning?
I'm at a loss now. Please help.

    car is 1991 318i.

**** I was thinking the blower motor was the issue, but it tested out fine, so it must be something else, but I do not know what. ****

Maybe you dislodged the resistor pack somehow?

The lighter and blower are on different circuits. Although their wiring does run through that general area, it seems unlikely that you'd have disturbed both in messing with the radio. But that is a possibility. Get the wiring diagrams from http://wedophones.com/BMWManualsLead.htm and start trouble shooting (check the fuses first).
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

        Resolved!

The solution, as I was thinking, was very simple. I had to take off under the dash cover on the driver's to run the wires....apparently upon putting things back together, this said cover had pushed on some wire plug and disconnected it causing the blower and lighter to stop operating.
