(help) changed fuel injector, problem afterwards, rpm and smoke in vents

I have a 1987 325e and i changed the fuel injector yesterday with Lucas 01D012B from fiveomotorsport

now im having some problem after starting up, first there was a really strong gas smell from the inside of car and then their was some white smoke coming from the air vents form inside.

now when the car is in park gear, the rpm would go up and down same with gas milage meter, but when changed to D or R gear the rpm goes back to normal.

I used some motor oil to lube up the o rings to fit into the fuel rail and back into the block.

anyone know what might be the problem?

    thanks!

Those are 20.5lb injectors, where the engine calls for 14lb injectors. Without a tune for the increased injector size the engine is not going to run right.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      +1

Also, you may have pinched or displaced one of the injector seals causing a fuel leak.

What can I do to tune so it can use the new injectors?

I don't know if there are any chip tuners that do tunes for the M20B27 engine. Other than that or a standalone engine management system like a MegaSquirt there's little you can do.
