You'll wanna jump between 2 and 3. Make sure you have a good ground on the other clamp too.

If it won't spin there then it's probably dead. You had the + jumper cable clamp touching both 2 and 3 right, and the - clamp on the frame, or somewhere well grounded? 1 was still tight correct?

Thats correct. Even that I put (-) on different place that showed sparks meaning it works. But the starter didnt turn or tick.. I have to take it out and have it replace.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before.. have you tried "popping" you clutch to start the car?

I took out the starter and tested it at the first didnt work later. Kept play around it worked for few sec and dead again. It apparently the starter is lemon! I am glad that its starter rather than something else.

Mine is auto not manual.

I thought about telling him that. But it doesn't do anything to diagnose why his starter won't turn the motor...................

If the starter able to turn the motor. Next thing is fuel problem. But, obviously not fuel problem. It's was starter.

True.. but it will usually isolate the problem to the starter and not an electrical gremlin.
