That is an original radiator, yes. Replacement Behr items now a says don't have any protection around the fitting for the small bleed hose on the right side like your original does... the nipple is just kind of hanging out in space waiting to be broken off.Adam Fogg- '88 M3

Yup. It'll come on when you run the A/C or if the coolant gets too hot. Not just a little too hot, but scary-close to meltdown hot. Get a shroud on there if you want the clutch fan to do you any good, or ditch the clutch fan altogether and get a nice electric fan setup.Originally posted by jackylThe aux fan that is between the radiator and the front grill is for what???

The shroud increases the efficiency of the main fan at low speeds. Not having it isn't really a problem, but it helps.Adam Fogg- '88 M3
