I'm having problems getting any support from the non-e30 forums so figured I'd try here. I have a 98' m-roadster I'm gutting for track use. I'm running into some electrical gremlins I think might be related to the alarm. Anyone know an easy way to simply remove the whole system without causing any ill-effects?

I suspect that the problems you are running into are with the EWS system more than the alarm. Unfortunately there is no easy, DIY, way to eliminate the EWS because it is integrated into the DME. There are folks that can reprogram the DME to eliminate EWS.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
