    oil filter still usable?


    oil filter is new. Got some moisture in the garage and the inside rusted :( Think its still usable?
    Renting my rear wheel bearing tool kit. SIR

          Why even consider allowing rust particulate to circulate through your engine? Toss it and get a new one.

            I get where he's coming from. I'd still get another one, but if the part was new, why not see if it was still useable?
