Unknown connectors under dash...... Damn PO

So I am trying to track down the reason for my dead temp gauge and after testing the sensor I tested the wiring its self. Since my gauge didnt jump up to hot when I grounded it out I figured it must be the wiring.

This is what I found when I pulled the lower dash piece. 2 connectors just hanging down and one tied off. Any clue what these are for??

Everything works on my dash and OBC so not sure what this could be connecting.

On a side note, the black one is pretty short so I am not sure it could reach behind the dash but the orange has some decent slack.

Orange looks like one of the gong plugs for seat belt etc. the gong is attached to the knee bolster
