    ignition tumbler issue

Hi all, longtime lurker first time poster. I bought my 1990 E30 VERT with airbag a few months back with the ignition tumbler trashed. PO drilled out the tumbler and now I start/stop it with a flat head.

I got a new tumbler and want to remove the old one from the steering column and slap this one on but i can't seem to do it with the old paper clip trick. The old tumbler is drilled all the way to the plastic housing and I don't know where to put the paper clip in at. How hard of a job is this? Any help appreciated it. thanks

Welcome to r3v. People are gonna tell you to use the search feature but here's a head start

Looks like you gotta turn the key and use a pick in a hole on the underside of the steering column
